Greater Naples 'Does Good' Every Day
The Greater Naples Chapter is proud of our record serving others in the community. We are a past recipient of the HK Stuart Spirit of Service Award for not only the number of hours we have donated but also for the breadth of our programs and the number of members who participate. This award is given to one alumnae chapter every two years at Convention! Our Chapter continues to be in the top two in the nation for service hours in our community.
Locally, our chapter supports The Lighthouse of Collier County and the Florida Lion’s Eye Clinic for low-income and uninsured members of the community. We provide financial support to the Southeastern Guide Dogs and our local Panhellenic.
Our members participate in the following activities:
- The Annual White Cane Walk in October on 5th Avenue
- The Susan B. Komen Race for a Cure
- The American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer
We are busy collecting eyeglasses, sunglasses and cases for the Lions. We sponsored three scholarships for a FGCU Theta Zeta DG collegian in 2023. We are proud that one of our scholarship students is president of her collegiate chapter.
We have many options for you to pursue if you'd like to donate some of your time to support our philanthropy. Did you know that you can also receive Service for Sight credit for working with the vision impaired or elderly on an individual basis by submitting your volunteer hours to the VP Foundation? So, whether you have an hour, a day or more to give, please contact Carol Beckmann at cnbeckmann@aol.com to find out more.
